As you may be aware, our nurseries have been open throughout the past year, and we have operated following the Government recommendations throughout that time. We have a Parental Agreement which each of you will be asked to sign before your child starts with us, that details the current requirements that we need you as parents to follow so that we remain compliant with COVID 19 law and practices.
As the Pandemic hopefully draws to a close we will be revising the Parental Agreement, however, we may have to change these at short notice in light of possible local lockdowns and similar situations.
Part of this policy means that you will be dropping off and collecting your child from the front door, or entrance appropriate for your child. This has been our practice now for more than one year, and we have seen huge benefits for the children in the setting. They have settled much more quickly, and we have had a much calmer and relaxed atmosphere particularly around lunchtimes, and towards the end of the day. The lack of interruption to the children's home room routines, has been so positive for their confidence and behaviour, that we have decided to keep this arrangement for the foreseeable future.
We will continue to use Tapestry with more photographic updates of your child's day. These will not always be linked to the EYFS, as they are sometimes just a quick update of your child having fun! We value opportunities to meet with you and have time to discuss your child's progress in full, and are eager to be able to start our Parents Evenings in the near future. We are also looking to arrange smaller room-specific parents events, such as picnics, story telling, and creative sessions where you can have the opportunity to meet other parents, and get to know our staff better.
